Early Morning: The Day Begins
The alarm buzzes at 5:30 AM, and like every morning, I’m up before the sun. Working at Blue Collar Roofers means making the most of daylight hours, especially during our busy season. After a quick breakfast and checking the weather forecast, I head to our headquarters in Syracuse.
6:30 AM: Team Meeting
Our crew assembles for the morning briefing. Today’s schedule includes two residential projects:
* Emergency repair in Fairmount
* Complete roof replacement in Dewitt
7:00 AM: First Job Site
We arrive at our first location in Fairmount. The homeowner reported a leak after recent storms. Our inspection reveals damaged shingles and compromised flashing. These emergency repairs are crucial – water damage can escalate quickly if left unchecked.
Midday Break
During lunch, we receive a call from Salina for an urgent assessment. Being local means we can respond quickly to our community’s needs across Syracuse and neighboring areas like Clay and Cicero.
Afternoon Work
The Dewitt project takes up most of the afternoon. It’s satisfying watching a new roof take shape, knowing we’re providing lasting protection for another family’s home. Our commitment to quality means no cutting corners – every shingle matters.
End of Day: 5:00 PM
Before heading home, we ensure all equipment is secured and the site is clean. Quality control checks are completed, and we prepare documentation for tomorrow’s jobs.
Working at Blue Collar Roofers isn’t just about installing and repairing roofs – it’s about serving our community and providing peace of mind to homeowners across Central New York. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to demonstrate our commitment to excellence in roofing craftsmanship.
