Furnace Solutions for the Harshest Climates

A Day in the Life: Automating Chicago’s Skyline

As an employee of Total Automation Concepts, Inc., my days are filled with exciting challenges and innovative solutions. Today, I’d like to take you through a typical day in my life as we work to bring cutting-edge automation to the vibrant city of Chicago and its surrounding areas.

6:30 AM: Rise and Shine

My alarm goes off, and I’m up and ready to tackle another day of transforming buildings into smart, efficient spaces. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I’m out the door, heading to our first job site in downtown Chicago.

8:00 AM: Lighting Control System Installation

Our team arrives at a sleek high-rise in the heart of the Windy City. We’re here to install a state-of-the-art lighting control system that will revolutionize energy efficiency for the entire building. As we unpack our equipment, I can’t help but feel excited about the positive impact this will have on both the client’s energy bills and the environment.

12:00 PM: Lunch Break and Team Meeting

After making significant progress on the installation, we break for lunch. During this time, we have a quick team meeting to discuss our afternoon plans and upcoming projects, including:

  • A building integration system installation in Bolingbrook, IL
  • Ongoing building automation service in Downers Grove, IL
  • Potential new clients in the greater Chicago area

1:30 PM: Back to Work

With renewed energy, we return to complete the lighting control system installation. As we fine-tune the settings and ensure everything is working perfectly, I can’t help but marvel at how far technology has come in recent years.

4:00 PM: Client Walkthrough and Training

Once the installation is complete, we meet with the client to walk them through the new system. Seeing their eyes light up as we demonstrate the ease of use and potential energy savings is always a highlight of my day.

5:30 PM: Wrap-up and Planning

Back at the office, we debrief on the day’s work and plan for tomorrow. With projects lined up in Bolingbrook and Downers Grove, I know we have another exciting day ahead of us.

As I head home, I feel a sense of pride knowing that our work at Total Automation Concepts, Inc. is helping to create smarter, more efficient buildings across the Chicago area. It’s not just a job – it’s a mission to shape the future of our urban landscapes.
